Is God asking you to move a mountain?
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing is impossible for you. Matthew 17:20

Each year, people from near and far come to Cookson Hills to work and minister with us to move mountainous projects from beginning to end. Cookson Hills' Volunteer Experience is a tool and invitation to families, groups and individuals who have been equipped to move mountains in God's kingdom through short term mission trips and Christian service opportunities. The ministry can accommodate high school, college, adult and family work groups as well as individuals throughout the year.
We know people who come to serve the Lord at Cookson are interested in providing manpower and resources to help us meet clearly identified needs in the mission. We continually go through a process to identify projects along with the related costs and the benefits of accomplishing the project. We are asking volunteers to help us by...
- Choosing a project that fits with group skills & interests, physical abilities, manpower, and availability
- Funding the project they have committed to complete, which will range from $100 and up in direct and related costs.
- Offset the group's accommodation costs by providing $20 per day/per person (which includes lodging and meals during your stay).
If the Lord has placed a purpose in your heart to partner with us to accomplish our mission and you want more information, contact Paula Turpin, our Volunteer Experiences Manager to find out what mountains you can move for God!

Cost
The ministry requires $20 per day/per volunteer to cover of housing and meal costs. This helps Cookson retain mission dollars for mission critical expenses.
Groups are asked to help fund a project that they are capable of completing. We have a range of projects with associated costs and skills required. You can help us evaluate your group by completing the form on page 9 and send it to us as soon as possible.
High school groups are asked to make a $100 donation to secure a spot on our summer work group calendar. The donation can be applied towards the group project cost.
Housing
Housing will be provided primarily in our bunkhouse. There are two dormitory style rooms with bunk beds separated by bathrooms. Each dorm room has a private entry and will sleep 12 and 16 people.
